Mosque Architecture (No.3): FURTHER OVERVIEW OF THE FIRST BOOK OF THE SERIES

When one wants to appraise a book, first he will comprehend its title. Once he gives credence to it, he will find out what is it about by looking at the book blurb or the brief note about the book on the back cover. It is more or less an abstract from the book as the vital  subject, a take-home reflection. 

The blurb will include information that represents the book best and arouses the curiosity or intrigues the readers.

Then, he will find out about the author biography. This has been shared in the posting (No.1).

Next he will read through the Preface and followed by the Acknowledgement or vice versa.

In this posting No. 3, I’ll include just the screenshots of the PREFACE. On the ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS, it will be shared in the next posting, while the book blurb or the back page note about the book, will be in the posting following that.

In this discourse we are going to raise relatively, a basic issue. We first start with something small and easy to understand, but as we go on with future postings, we will gradually, going to raise bigger issues about Historicism, for instance, does  Islamic Architecture promoted by Historicism reflect Islamic faith?  And  also other issues such as combating the calamity of climate change and in observing the entrusted duty of Allah’s vicegerent to salvage the planet earth from environmental crisis; to refrain from committing numerous corruptions and disorders on land and in the sea.   1- Introduction Further to my suggestion in the earlier book of the mosque series, of establishing a finer green rating tool for mosques, I hereby make a draft outline of how it would possibly be improvised. Firstly, I would like to suggest that its nomenclature will be and referred to as the Green Mosque Conformity Index or GMCI. How it could be approached? The standard green rating index in each nation, as a whole, is already considered as monitoring the fulfilment of the requirement of the deen. But there is something else missing on the spiritual or moral values, its non-compliance would lead to wasteful, overconsumption and extravagant, which contradicts the green movement.
